LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF JOHN COSNER

In the name of the Benevolent Father of All! First: I desire all my just debts and funeral expenses to be paid, as soon as possible after my decease.

Second: I give and bequeath unto my wife, Phebe Cosner, all of my household goods of every kind and description whatsoever, also the sum of Four Thosand (4,000) Dollars in lieu of her years' support, to be paid to her in money or approved notes out of the proceeds of my personal property by my executor hereinafter named, and also one third (1/3) of the net annual income of my Real Estate during her life time.

Third: I give, devise and bequeath unto the Foreign Missionary Society of the Baptist Church of the United States of America, the sum of One Thousand (1,000) Dollars in cash to be paid to the proper officer of said Society to receive such requests by my said executor, hereinafter named, within one year after my decease.

Fourth: I give and bequeath unto my son, John Cosner, and my daugher, Phebe Ann Scott, the entire residue of my estate, both Personal Property and Real Estate, to be divided equally between them, share and share alike.

I do hereby request the Probate Court to require no bond or bonds of my executor hereinafter names and I do further request that there be no appraisement of my estate, especially of my household goods.

I nominate and appoint my son, John Cosner, to be the executor of the will.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 3rd day of August, in the year eighteen hundred and ninety seven.

John Cosner (signed and sealed)
