LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF ABRAHAM BARBER

IN THE NAME OF THE BENEVOLENT FATHER OF ALL: I, Abraham Barber of Clinton Township, Knox County, Ohio, do make and publish this my last will and testament as follows:

ITEM 1:- I wish my just debts and funeral expenses first paid.

ITEM 2:- I bequeath to my wife Margaret A. Barber all my household goods absolutely and I also devise and bequeath to her all the real and personal property of which I may die possessed including the interest on the notes I hold on my sons Thomas P. and Clark M. Barber as the same becomes due and in the event that the interest on said notes should not be enough to support my wife comfortably I order my sons above named to pay her and I authorize her to collect from them so much of the principal, of said notes as she may need to maintain her in a comfortable manner, said real and personal property to be used by her for and during her natural life.

ITEM 3:- I bequeath to my son John H. Barber One Hundred Dollars to be paid to him after the death of myself and wife, without interest; also to Sarah Jane Woods One Hundred Dollars after the death of myself and wife, without interest, to be paid her without interest. Also to my son Samuel M. Barber Five Hundred Dollars to be paid after the death of I give one bed and bedding, my books to be divided equally between my children.

ITEM 5:- Upon the death of my wife if she out lives me, if not, at my death I direct all the residue of my property, real and personal, to be divided equally between my four sons John H. Barber, Samuel M. Barber, Thomas P. Barber and Clark M. Barber and my daughter Sarah Jane Woods, equally, and I direct my Executor to sell whatever real estate I may leave at my death at public or private auction as he shall think best and divide the proceeds between my children above named in this item.

ITEM 6:- I direct that the interest on the notes owing to me by my sons Thomas P. Barber and Clark M. Barbar shall cease on the death of both myself and wife.

ITEM 7:- It is my will that in the event that my sister Eleanor Allen who resides in Columbus, Ohio should out live me that upon her death my executor shall bring her remains to Mt. Vernon, Ohio, and bury her in Mount View Cemetery by the side of her husband William Allen and cause a proper notice of her death to be inscribed on his monument.

ITEM 8:- I hereby appoint Thomas P. Barber Executor of this my will and I hereby revoke all former wills by me made.

In testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand this 29th day of May, 1900.
