LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF GEORGE CLEMENTS

I, George W. Clements of Monroe Township, Knox County, Ohio do make and publish this, my last will and testament, as follows:

First, I give and bequeath to my wife Catharine the 112 acres or land in Monroe Township on which we now live, together with the stock and chattel property thereon for and during her natural life only, and I also give to her the furniture and household goods in our house absolutely and to be disposed of by her as she shall see fit; I also will to my wife the sum of two hundred and seventy five dollars to be paid her on the settlement of my estate. I request my wife to keep the taxes paid on the land willed to her and keep the same in good repair and to cut no more timber than is necessary for the use of the farm.

Second, at the death or my wife Catharine I will and devise the 112 acres bequeathed to her for life to my two brothers Lorenzo D. Clements and Columbus Clements and to my two half brothers Wilson and Hezekiah Clements and to my half sister Eliza Jane Foutz, share and share alike in fee simple.

Third, I give and bequeath to Berty Burnett Lewis the son of my wife the sum of One Hundred Dollars to be paid on the settlement of my estate.

Fourth, I direct a monument not to exceed One Hundred Dollars to be put up at the graves of myself and wife after our decease.

In witness hereof I have hereunto signed my name this 9th day of October, A. D. 1900.
