LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF RHODA LETTS
IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN! I, Rhoda Letts, of Knox county, state of Ohio, being weak in body, but of sound and
perfect mind and memory, blessed be Almighty God for the same, do make and publish
this, my last Will and Testament, in manner and form following, that is to say:
First, that all my debts be paid.
Second, I give and bequeath to my oldest son, John, one new double coverlet and blanket.
Third, I give and bequeath to my fourth son, Caleb, one new double coverlet and blanket.
Fourth, I give and bequeath to my oldest daughter, Phebe Robinson, my silver table spoons.
Fifth, I give and bequeath to my second daughter, Thankful Veatch, my large Bible.
Sixth, I give and bequeath to my fourth daughter, Rachel Bell, my silver tea spoons.
Seventh, I give and bequeath to my grand daughter, Rhoda Ann Letts, my young gray mare and one cow and calf, allowing her to take her choice of
of the cows, and four sheep; also, one new bed and bedding wit two new double coverlets and two blankets, the bedstead for turned posts, the
small bureau, my new set of imitation china ware, with a large bowl and pitcher, a bucket and small brass kettle.
Eighth, I give and bequeath to my grand daughter, Marion Wood, one double coverlet.
Ninth, I further order that all the remainder of my goods and chattel and personal estate of whatsoever nature or kind be sold and when collected,
after all expenses paid be that it be divided into eight equal parts and distributed in the following manner:
1st: To my son David Letts, three fourths of one share and one fourth of the same share to his daughter, Rhoda Ann Letts.
2nd: To my son John Letts one share or eighth part.
3rd: To my son Caleb Letts one share or eighth part.
4th: To my son Jeremiah Letts one share or eighth part.
5th: To my daughter Phebe Robinson one share or eighth part.
6th: To my daughter Thankful Veatch one share or eighth part.
7th: To my daughter Rachel Bell one share or eighth part.
8th: To my grand daughters, Marion and Helen Wood one share or eighth part to be divided equally between them.
I further give unto Phebe Robinson, Thankful Veath, Rachel Bell, Mary Letts and Maria Letts all my wearing apparel, sheets, pillow cases, and table
cloths equally to be divided between them.
I further order that all the shares be paid after the sale and the money collected, and settlement made with the court as soon as convenient to all
parties, except Marion Wood and Helen Wood, whose share shall remain in the direction of John Lett and Peter Veatch and be put to interest until
they arrive at the age of eighteen years and then paid over to them.
I hereby appoint John Letts and Peter Veatch executors of this, my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal, the 25th day of March, 1835.

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named Rhoda Letts to be her last Will and Testament, in presence of us who have hereunto
subscribed our names as witnesses in presence of the testator.
